Sistahs in Business Expo is back on the Road!

Last weekend, the Sistahs in Business Expo kicked off its 2022 tour in the city of brotherly love and sisterly affection. Over 75 vendors set up shop at the Hilton Philadelphia City Ave for this year's return. The energy in the room was magnetic! Guests were welcomed by the infamous SIB EXPO staff known as the “Red Shirt Brigade” with gift bags and high energy to set the tone for the day! Featured speaker AJ Akua Johnson delivered a powerful message and challenged entrepreneurs to confidently live out their brand story. Yandy Smith-Harris returned to the tour and provided guests with some essential tips on how to appeal to your customer, ensure all coins are secured, and have your business logistics in order. She advised business owners to hire lawyers and accountants so they don't miss out on the money owed to them.

The event agenda was jam-packed. Guests heard from influential Sistahs in Business during two panel sessions throughout the day. First up was the “Superpower Panel” hosted by Tyshanique Hamilton of Floralonae fitness and featured Zyhkeya Hamilton of Zuri Fab, Syretta Scott of Duafe Hair Salon, Philomena Kane of Kin Apparel, and Attiyah Blair, Real Estate Investor. These sistahs dove into the hardships and rewards of being an entrepreneur and how they learned to pivot when the business demanded it. Our second panel of the day, Passion to Profit hosted by the Founder & CEO of The Sistahs in Business Expo, Aisha Taylor Issah, featured Ayana Blount, known as The Passion Strategist, Sherill Mosee of Minkee Blue, Shemika Jackson of Kafune Hair, and Zakia Blain of FBF Body. This panel highlighted the importance of knowing your worth and adding tax. These powerful sistahs reminded guests that their passion can most certainly lead to a profit!

The room overflowed with love, encouragement, dance breaks, and of course plenty of shopping. The guests supported vendors in a huge way, shopping from many categories including clothing and accessories, home goods and decor, books and consulting services, and so much more. This Sistahs in Business Expo is a real-life example of what happens when we support one other! If you missed the Philly stop, make sure you catch the SIBEXPO in a city near you! The remaining tour cities and dates include the DMV Area (August 13th), Atlanta, GA (September 10th), and Newark, NJ on October 21st and 22nd).
